Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi got into a car accident — with the Italian police. So much for keeping a low profile!
The pint-sized star of MTV’s reality series Jersey Shore was taken into police custody in the Italian city of Florence on Monday after cops say she rear-ended a patrol car in front of dozens of witnesses. Snooks and the rest of The Shore Gang — including Vinny, Ronnie, Sammi, and The Sitch — are in town taping scenes for the fourth season of Jersey Shore…much to the displeasure of the local government. Officials in Florence had already banned the MTV production from shooting at some of the most famous locations in the Renaissance city (including the renowned Uffizi gallery and the sculpture-filled Boboli Gardens) and drinking in public before Snooki’s car ended up wedged between the cruiser and a highway wall.
Her Shore costar Jenni “J-Woww” Farley was riding shotgun when the crash occurred. She reportedly had to exit the car through a window because the door was blocked by the wall.
