Tony Romo Weds Candice Crawford in Texas

That was one great Saturday even by Texas standards as Dallas became the venue for the wedding of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and 2008’s Miss Missouri Candice Crawford. Us Weekly had the whole story from an inside source.

600 guests arrived for the wedding, among them R&B artist Ashanti and Kim Kardashian’s one-time boyfriend Miles Austin. They were received in an enormous white air-conditioned tent with a balcony that was also done in white. The trees around the tent carried strands of white lights.

Romo, 31, and Crawford, 24, had their own vows to make, and the insider said the bride was emotional and tearful throughout the ceremony. As soon as the solemn part was over, Black Eyed Peas’s “I Gotta Feeling” struck up. There was also a jazz band that poured forth popular tunes like “Beyond the Sea” and “I Get Lost,” and the quarterback’s teammates made the dancing floor a very hot place.

The dinner was graced by the playback of a video showing the groom proposing to the bride. As the local station WFAA-TV learned from wedding planner Todd Fiscus, there were short ribs on the menu and the guests had the run of a well-stacked pizza bar. But the real wonder of the wedding dinner was the wedding cake that was “almost as tall as the ceiling,” as the source told Us.

As for the turnouts, it was Badgley Mischka gowns for the bridesmaids, while the men sported custom made Dolce & Gabbana tuxedos – black pants and white jackets. A vintage Cadillac was waiting for the couple to take them away. The party broke up after two a.m.

The famous footballer hooked up with Candice Crawford, a former beauty queen and KDAF reporter, almost two years ago, and they had been engaged since December 2010. Candice is also sister to Chace Crawford of Gossip Girl; Chace was one of those toasting the duo at the rehearsal dinner, but she wasn’t heard on the Saturday party.

Romo’s romances involved actress Sophia Bush and Carrie Underwood; before he began dating Crawford he had had a high-profile affair with Jessica Simpson that he severed in July 2009 on the eve of the singer’s 29th birthday. Simpson is now engaged to footballer Eric Johnson (since last November, within days of her former husband Nick Lachey’s engagement to Vanessa Minillo, crowning their four-year sporadic relationship).

Jennifer Hudson is struggling to strike a deal to publish her weight-loss book because the agents want her to open up about the murder of her mum, brother and nephew in 2008.

Hudson had put herself into dieting and exercise following the birth of her son David in 2009 and dropped 80 pounds within months. She has been pitching a book about her weight issues and diet tips to US publishers, and wants USD 1 million for the deal, reports contactmusic.com.

But the book bosses are interested in paying huge sum only if Hudson writes about coping with the brutal slaying of her family three years ago.

“It was disappointing. Her book about her diet is really appealing and wonderful. But if you spend a lot of money on the book deal, you want it to sell. With no talk of her family, we didn`t think it was worth it,” said a source from the publishing house.

The breezy pleated halter dress worn by the blonde bombshell has been put on sale by actress Debbie Reynolds.

The 79-year-old actress who’s hit a bit of a rough patch financially, has finally decided to sell off her vast collection of Hollywood mementos to the highest bidder.

Although the Monroe dress is the star of the collection, her other pieces are no less famous. These include Judy Garland’s costume from The Wizard of OZ and Audrey Hebpburn’s dress from My Fair Lady. However none can compare with the phenomenon that Monroe’s “subway dress” later became inspiring generations of Marilyn Monroe copycats .

Reynolds has said she hopes the items end up in ‘happy homes or even in museums’ so people can continue to enjoy them over the years.

Shahid Kapoor Takes on Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan at the Box Office

Mausam, headlining Shahid Kapoor, will now clash at the box office on September 9 with Rockstar headlining Ranbir Kapoor and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan headlining Imran Khan.

Mausam producers announced on Tuesday, May 31, that the film's release had been pushed back from July 22 to September 9.

The postponement was attributed to a delay in the film's post production work.

The real reason, according to Sawfnews.com sources, was that Mausam producers developed cold feet over taking on Singham headlining Ajay Devgn after the first rushes and promo of Rohit Shetty's action flick wowed industry observers.

It is not clear why Mausam is being released on September 9 in a fratricidal clash, because the month is not crowded with releases. Mausam could easily have been released a week or two later.

Both Rockstar and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan are pitched at the youth. While Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan don't have very impressive box office records and aren't in the same league as Ajay Devgn, their films could well click ,adversely impacting Mausam earnings.

The only reason we could think off why anyone would want to release the three films on the same day is because it would pit Ranbir Kapoor against his two exes - Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif!

Yeah! It's not a compelling reason. It is not even a serious reason, and that is just what we are saying.
