Sharon Osbourne believes Cheryl Cole will easily ‘win’ the US over as a judge on the X-Factor. Cheryl, 27, is said to be having elocution lessons to help her lose her heavy North East England accent, and fellow British ex-pat Sharon, said that once that is sorted, there will be no stopping her. The 58-year-old told The Mirror, “Americans won’t understand a bloody word of unadulterated Geordie. But with a little help — and those gorgeous Bambi eyes — she’ll win the audience over. Cheryl will be great. “She needs to know what she can and can’t say, but after that it’ll be plain sailing. And she has Simon’s [Cowell] full backing so she will be just fine, no matter what.”
