Cy Waits Attacked By Paris Hilton Stalker Outside Los Angeles Courthouse

On Wednesday afternoon, a suspected Paris Hilton stalker attacked the heiress’ boyfriend as the couple headed into a Los Angeles courthouse where the socialite was to testify against another man accused of an attempted break-in at the socialite’s home. Hilton and Waits were in court as witnesses in the case against Nathan Parada, who was thwarted by Waits as he tried to break into Hilton’s home wielding a knife last fall. As the couple walked into the courthouse in Van Nuys, James Rainford took a swing at the pair and landed a punch on the back of Cy Waits’ head. Obviously stunned by the hit, Waits continued into the courthouse, determined to protect Hilton. Rainford, who is on probation for trespassing into Hilton’s exclusive gated community last October, was promptly detained by the burly members of Paris’ security detail and eventually taken into custody by local police.

Shortly after his arrest, Rainford allegedly told law enforcement officials that he is in love with Paris. (What more proof do we need that this guy needs to have his head examined?)

“Ricky Hilton said I could marry Paris. He gave me his blessing. I love Paris,” Rainford told cops.

When investigators searched his pockets, they found pictures of Hilton and love notes James had written to her.

“That other psycho intruder just punched Cy in the back of the head as we were walking into the court house. So scary!” the always-eloquent Paris penned in a post uploaded to her Twitter account shortly after the incident.

Rainford, 36, has been charged with suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a person and is being held on $20,000 bail.
